Founding by Frederic
Boucheron in 1858, this French design house has created exceptional pieces
of watches and jewellery. Boucheron today is one the
most renowned French enterprises in the jewellery world and is celebrated
for its creativity, its know-how and audacity. Boucheron is also known for
its perfume distribution; in 1988 the brand captured the spirit of its craft
and transformed it into a fragrance by creating the first “parfum bijou”.
Now Boucheron has released their own Eyewear and
Sunglasses, with Rhinestones or Gold Plated frames.
The House that
Boucheron built is based on exquisite taste and flawless execution.
Boucheron Eyewear pays tribute to their code of excellence and when you own
a pair you will understand why they are so renowned. Looking at some of
their shapes inspired by nature will leave you breathless. Because
Boucheron's models are pure Art. The “Plume de Paon" model for example,
brings the magic of mystery and exuberance at every glance, while the " Ava
" model pays tribute to Ava Gardner, and is flawless with it's weightless
lines and suspended shapes. Made from some of the finest woods, metals and
stones available anywhere, Boucheron Eyewear is the choice for originality
and passionate designs.
Under a licensing
agreement for worldwide distribution, Gold & Wood Paris launches Boucheron,
a line of luxury eyeglasses targeted to men and women between the ages of 40
and 75. Wood, horn and gold are at the heart of the Boucheron collection,
which draws inspiration from its wood and gold jewelry popular in the ’80s.
Colors are intense and rich, and rely extensively on black currant, red and
gold. Included are 60 ophthalmic frames and 15 sunglasses in four distinct
collections. The Fusion collection embraces geometric shapes and sculptured
lines and is both urban and graphic. Inspired by legendary Hollywood figure,
Ava Gardner, Ava is characterized by suspended shapes. Froufrou is based on
two concepts: one with metal temples and one with wood temples, both
highlighted with inserts of color. The Plume de Paon line is extravagant and
sensual with an emphasis on buffalo horn.
POSHGLAM girls always keep an eye on fashion, and what better way than with
the luxurious eyewear collection from French jewelers, watch and perfume
makers Boucheron and their collaboration with Gold & Wood. For their new
frames, Gold & Wood uses panoply of precious woods from ebony, bobbing and
Tanganyika. Sculpted totally in the Boucheron house, two of the frames in
the Boucheron Plume de Paon line arrive in 5-micron gold plated versions.
When gold becomes adorned with crystals or precious stones, the frames’
shapes light up and that magically evokes Boucheron’s style.
Boucheron has developed shapes and forms of sculptured fusion, weightless
levitation, rounded gadroons or daring feathers. The jewellery house’s
themes are portrayed in four new lines: Fusion, Ava, Froufrou and Plume de
Paon.
The house has graced beautiful faces like
Greta Garbo, Rita Hayworth, Marlene Dietrich and more recently Nicole
Kidman, Cameron Diaz, Katie Holmes, Julianne Moore and Anne Hathaway.
The eyewear collection is available
now, and the solar collection is slated for availability in March — just in
time for spring.
BOUCHERON’s new collection of sunglasses
reinvents the popular and familiar motifs that are the foundation of the
House’s success. The collection features either rhinestones, or frames
plated in precious metals such as gold and platinum. The collection of
sunglasses is manufactured and distributed by the Safilo Group.
